We are excited to highlight undergraduate research assistant, Matt Fellows, who presented at the Kent State University Undergraduate Research Symposium!
Matt's poster, "A Qualitative Analysis of Caregiver Burden in Owners of Chronically Ill Cats," reflects his contribution to ongoing research in the Veterinary Psychology Lab.
About the Project: This study explored the experiences of owners caring for a cat with chronic illness, with the goal of better understanding caregiving stressors, how individuals navigate these challenges, and whether the human-cat bond is affected. Matt and Dr. Nikki Bennett interviewed 10 cat owners to examine these questions.
Celebrating Student Success: We are proud of Matt's contributions to the lab and his presentation. We are also happy to share Matt was accepted into the Kent State University Summer Undergraduate Research Experience for this summer, where he will continue his involvement with this project. Congratulations, Matt!
